Pro Tip:

So let me give you some hints on how I modify this jig to catch more fish.  First I trim the skirt so it's just past the bend in the hook, about 3/8 inch. Then I shorten the weed guard so it's overlaps the hook point by about 1/4 inch and I cut about 1/3 of the bristles at the base.  Finally, I add a 3-inch trailer.
